Mini rant, just bugged me...

Just browsing over facebook today, seeing all the various fan pages people joined, there's a growing trend of "I'm the girl you're the guy..." fan pages...

To side track for a second I've always been aggravated by how women expect the perfect select blend of traditional and modern values in a relationship. It's the man's job to be kind, caring, look after the woman, pay for everything, make elaborate romantic gestures all the time (yet spontaneously)... be the true gent and chivalrous, just like in the olden days. Now this alone I have no problem with... however these were all the advantages to women in those days, those were balanced out with significant disadvantages, such as lack of rights in general, never argues, has to be quiet and agree able... now this is where the modern "empowered female" side of this oh so sweet deal comes in. So basically they want a relationship to be run as a female bias dictatorship... lovely (Y)

Now I must concede that my views on this are somewhat tainted by one particular the and a half year long misery of an example... so the above is to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Anyway, to get back on track...

There were two in particular the first: "I'm the girl, you're the guy... If you don't text first, we don't speak today". The second: "Girls like it when guys text first... true story"... well I say try this one on for size... "I'm the guy, you're the girl... I text you first... HOW ABOUT REPLYING SOME TIME!" ... or maybe ... "I text you, I put my heart on the line... TAKING 2 HOURS TO REPLY DOESN'T HELP MY MENTAL HEALTH".

Ok so this is a long post for a small point... but one that I felt needed to be made...

Rant about women...

First up... sorry for the language... this is a rant after all:

I'm fed the f*ck up with being overlooked by the opposite sex for being "the nice guy" or "the friend"... Well I'm sorry I have enough decency to not hit on you while you have a boyfriend...

and I'm sorry for respecting you.... maybe that's a quality you should look for when YET AGAIN the attractive pile of sh*t makes you cry.

So now you turn to me "the friend"... to pick it all the f*ck up... help you on your way to the next guy who comes along and treat you like he just stepped in you!

'cause you know you'll ignore me as a friend for a while then... and then when it goes tits up, again... WHICH IT WILL... you can come cry to my dependable f*cking sholder... because im ALWAYS HERE... aren't I?????

The inner feelings of love...

So those of you who know me will inevitably know that when it comes to love... I am a MASSIVE cynic...

However amidst a 'deep and meaningful' with a friend I allowed my whole feelings to be revealed...

Love is a perfection we strive to achieve,

because ultimately the end result,

if we achieve it,

is more than worth the pain we inevitably incur along the way...

My First Post...

So this is my first post... I'm not really sure what to put in it, but here goes.

Basically this is going to be a blog for my rants and and quotes or thoughts of insight... the idea is getting them out of my mind and off my chest will probably help... and I've been told that they are sometimes helpful or maybe even insightful...

Anyways, I'm going to try and keep regular updates going and maybe one day people might actually read them lol...
